LADIES WOT LAUNCH
Ladies, we have been offered a free days training at the Laser centre at the National Sailing Academy at Weymouth (The Olympic venue) on Friday 23 April. It is suitable for anyone who can sail a triangle course. If you want more details or would like to go please contact saronrusden@aol.com

TEAM RACING
A 2 BOAT TEAM RACING SERIES for the
“AVONMOUTH WATERSPORTS CUP”
ALL LEVELS WELCOMELOTS OF SHORT RACES FOCUSING ON STARTS, BOAT HANDLING, MARK ROUNDING AND TACTICS – GREAT FUN AND GOOD FOR TRAINING. RACING WILL BE IN LASER PICO’S (PROVIDED).
ENTRY/EVENT - £8 ADULTS, £5 CHILDREN .

Junior Training - learning to sail SAILING SCHOOL
Sailing school dates for 2009 in newsletter and below.
After two successful years of the sailing school run by Dave Holloway we have produced a programme for 2009
The format this year will be similar to previous years catering for children aged 8 and over with group one catering for those with little or no experience this is great fun for the younger children and introduces them to the basics of sailing
Group two is aimed at develpoing sailing techniques and basic racing skills with the ultimate aim being to encourage the pupil in to joining in with harbour club racing
Whilst the school is not an RYA "recognised teaching establishment" we aim to provide a level of tuition not dissimilar to that used by RYA affiliated schools, we do rely on some parental support to the qualified instructors
Participants must be club members and need to arrive with suitable sailing wear although buoyancy aids can be provided. Tuition is provided in club owned Toppers and Laser Picos all of which are relatively new.
There are at times various items of sailing wear for sale at the club
