As you may have heard Shoresports are taking on the mantle of Beginners Blokes in Boats for 2026. This is aimed at beginners and “rusty” sailors who would gain from some professional sailing tuition.
For those of greater proficiency, and for all those who have joined in Blokes in Boats, Ladies that Launch and Seals sessions during the last couple of seasons, we should like to invite you to join BiBs/LTLs and Seals Plus in 2026. (Attendees should be 18 years and over please). Please contact Mark Anderson to be added to Whatsapp Group
If, however, you would prefer to avail yourself of the Shoresports sessions you are more than welcome to do so.

Non boat owners, we ask that you make a small contribution of £25 towards the maintenance and storage of the Club boats.
Boat owners may join in free of charge.
A couple of days before each session we shall publish a signing on form, via our WhatsApp group, for all attending. We would ask all attending to sign on as either helper, sailing helper, own boat owner or non boat owner. At present we have seven Lasers (some Radials, one or two Full rigs) and a number of Zest dinghies available to us, so the first non boat owners to sign on will get the spaces for that session. At present we are not proposing to set a limit on the total number of sailors taking part.
Sailing Skills will be aimed at those who would like to progress towards Club racing (although not mandatory) or just improve their sailing skills. We aim to have more experienced sailors helping out for closer, more personal “tuition”.
As a rough guideline, we will attempt to follow the RYA Levels One and Two syllabus’s as in this link.
