Courses usually run in six weekly sessions from April to September, taking participants from no experience to safe, competent sailors. HSC may subsidise lesson fees for members.

Delivered with Shoresports, the programme covers beginner, racing, and adventure skills while prioritising kindness, inclusion, safety, and friendship. Volunteers, parents, and older members support young sailors on and off the water. Runs from April to September. Contact: Seals@highcliffesailing.co.uk
From April to September, experienced members run informal sessions for confident sailors who want to improve their skills and progress into club racing. Free for members with their own boats; a small fee applies to use club boats. Runs April to September
The support boat team provides essential on-water safety support for HSC sailors and paddlers. Members can join helm and crew practice sessions from April to November, with classroom training in winter. Contact Keith La Roche to get involved.
